Biscuit Wrapped Hot Dog - (AKA) Dagwood Dog


Kinda like a corn dog but,  not a corn dog!Choose the
Healthier choice to Bake them and
use a Turkey dog!







 Ingredients:

1 pack hot dogs
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp baking soda
1 egg
1/8 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 1/2 tbsp  cooking oil
2 cups cooking oil for frying in
 with wooden skewers / or without

     Directions:
You can bake these or fry these In Deep fryer / or  large skillet heat oil on medium- to 390*F
In separate bowl whip up the egg
Lay hot dogs down and push the skewers into the middle half way up into the dog
(like corn dog)
In large bowl: add flour,baking powder,soda,salt,sugar,buttermilk,1 1/2 tbsp cooking oil
and blend thoroughly(should end up like biscuit dough)
flour a surface to roll out the dough to be a large square 1/4 thick
cut  out 3+5 rectangle pieces of dough to place the hot dog in and roll it up
Pinch end and fold up and pinch again to close the fold/twist other end around stick to close
When oil is ready
Gently place them in the oil and brown on all sides/use tongs to cook and remove
to BAKE: Heat oven to 350  cook for 10-12 minutes,turn over half way through
cooking time!
